I focus on building confidence and a love for learning in an engaging and patient environment. I start by listening to students and observe how they approach new material. That helps me determine my approach and vary my teaching strategies, using visual aids, hands-on activities, discussions, and practice problems. I try to break down complex problems to build momentum and celebrate the small successes as we progress. With a college degree and one year of experience, I tutor English, Art, and History at all levels. Seeing a student's confidence grow is the most rewarding aspect of tutoring. I have a car and can tutor at your home, a center, online, the library, a community center, school, or a coffee shop.
