About Sierra

To preface this, I love working with kids. I see one of the options here is sports/training. I was a gymnast for a short time and then a gymnastics coach for ages 3-17 for 5 or 6 years. I'm also good with school work, I graduated from highschool with high honors and received the dean's scholarship at the college I chose. I have dyslexia so I can empathize with any child struggling with a learning disability and how frustrating it can be. And we can use some of the techniques that have helped me in the past. Also, my passion is psychology which is what I am currently studying. Ways I see this relate to tutoring, for example, would be that I know it's important to give your brain breaks. If we've been working for a long time I would suggest a timed jump rope session, or a race across the back yard and a healthy snack. Exercise and healthy food(fuel) will help keep the brain awake and alert.
