About Sierra

Greetings! My name is Sierra, and I am a summer nanny and full time classroom teacher during the school year at Salam School. I am a graduate of UW Milwaukee's School of Education, where I earned my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. Aside from a lifetime of babysitting experience, I have seven years of experience working professionally with children, and have had the opportunity to work with a variety of ages and in a variety of settings. My most recent role was as a K-12 substitute teacher for Milwaukee Public Schools, where I predominantly taught middle school English Language Arts. Some things to know about me are that I love music and dance, cooking, gardening and reading. Aside from English and Spanish, my other languages are some French and Infant American Sign Language. I would describe myself as passionate, empathetic, and creative in my work in early childhood education.
