About Shylah

Hi! My name is Shylah, and caring for children has always been a big part of my life. I'm a mom to two amazing kids ~ an almost 11-year-old boy and a 9-year-old girl, and I understand how much trust it takes to leave your children in someone else's care. Before becoming a mom, I was a nanny for four years and also taught preschool in a Montessori-inspired center. I'm loving and kind, and while I'm not a strict authoritarian, I'm consistent with discipline so children always feel safe and cared for. I love creating days filled with play, creativity, and outdoor time, with very limited screens and plenty of learning moments. I'm also a great cook and happy to prepare healthy meals, help with light cleanup, and keep things running smoothly.
