About Shulammite

Hello! My name is Shulammite, I'm a CPS Substitute and professional group/private music instructor (piano, violin, and voice) for students 6mos-adult. I am actively teaching over 20+ private music students and am pleased to offer tutoring, music lessons, and babysitting services during this time. I have extensive experience managing classrooms (Pre-K to HS) of 20+ kids - being most effective in teaching math, history, and language arts. I was also a nanny for 2-year-old twins from 2015-16, often utilizing crafts and music in our time together. A majority of my knowledge has come from my experience helping my single mother raise two considerably younger brothers (both in HS now). I hold a BA in Communication from the University of Illinois (specializing in Interpersonal Communication), and I am deeply committed to offering warm, safe, and stimulating environments to children in their most impressionable years.
