About Allegra

My name is Allegra and I have a degree (double major) in Arts and Literature and have taught elementaryschoolchildrenin the Chicago and NYC Public schools. I love kids and come from a family of teachers. I have been a teaching artist for both Geothe and Morton elementary schools in Chicago. I have been entrusted with the responsibility of managing a classroom with 10 to 30 students at a time, and have Also worked with special needs children. I am very balanced in my work with kids, knowing how to engage them and have fun and also navigate challenging situations. As a teacher I wrote and taught an integrated curriculum in which the students wrote their own play and musical score. I have taught/ hosted a social emotional story hour for youger kids and parents, in addition to teaching music lessons to kids. I am safe, patient, creative and engaging with children. I have practical experience and excellent references. I hope to connect soon about the available opportunity.
