About Shona

I am a recently retired professional who now wants to spend time doing what I love which is being with the elderly, sick and dyng. I grew up in Ireland with many elderly relatives who brought me so much joy and imparted so much wisdom. I have been helping and caring for my in-laws who moved to Maine to be near me and my husband and realized that this is the type of work that makes my heart sing. I qualified as an End-Of-Life Doula in June 2023 after participating in a course at the University of Vermont. If you are looking for someone to help care for an elder, I can offer services including but not limited to being a companion, making meals, doing light housework, taking them shopping/ to appointments. Doula services include helping with end of life tasks, bringing peace and comfort, funeral arrangements, family/health care liaison and much more. I am a patient and caring person with years of experience managing, organizing and multi-tasking.
