About Shilah

Hi! My name is Shilah, and I'm a Biology student at Spelman College on the pre-health track. I have experience working with children through mentoring, tutoring, camp counseling, and literacy programs. I'm patient, dependable, organized, and passionate about creating safe, positive environments where kids can learn and grow. I enjoy helping with homework, creative activities, and daily routines while being a supportive role model. I also have caregiving experience that has strengthened my communication, attentiveness, and compassion. I'm CPR certified, bilingual in English and conversational Spanish, and have been working with kids for about 6 years through volunteering and youth programs. I'd describe myself as talkative, considerate, and responsible. In my spare time, I enjoy volunteering, spending time with family and friends, staying active, and mentoring kids. Families should know that I genuinely care about making children feel safe, supported, and encouraged.
