About Sara

I am a graduate student at the University of Pennsylvania, studying Bioengineering. As a pre-med, I volunteer in CHOP's pediatric ICU, where I spend time with patients and siblings and carry out activities, including reading and playing, with them. I also tutor children in all subjects through organizations like Auxilium Tutoring and the West Philadelphia Tutoring Project. I have also worked as a summer camp counselor for kids impacted by a parent's cancer and have taught and mentored high schoolers. These experiences have made me highly attuned to the daily needs and challenges of families and children. I enjoy working with kids because I love seeing the world through their eyes, including their kindness and curiosity. I am kind, patient, modest, and reliable, and I am good at empathizing with kids, navigating challenging situations, and coming up with creative ways to keep them engaged. I really love and enjoy spending time with children and I hope to meet your families.
