About Sherlyn

I've been caring for children for about 2 years, primarily with a family that has 2 boys with a two-year age gap. I began working with the older child when he was 1 y/o, and I supported him through key early-toddler milestones, including language development, increased mobility, and the transition into preschool at age 3. I helped encourage independence through age-appropriate routines & play-based learning. I was also present as the family welcomed their 2nd child, which gave me experience of preparing formula bottles & sleep cues. I'm familiar with gentle parenting approaches and I prioritize clear communication. With older toddlers, I really enjoy supporting developmental milestones through play and exploration. I LOVE outdoor time whether that's backyard play, walk trips to the local park/library, or doing simple science & sensory activities that encourage curiosity & problem-solving. I focus on creating engaging, age-appropriate experiences that support both learning & fun.
