Shelley regularly visits my stepfather for companion care in the nursing home and she has been incredible. She easily connected with him and has made him feel so loved. He is not the easiest person to deal with and he has dementia, but it has not phased Shelley at all. She brings him food and eats with him, made a point to make his birthday extra special, and now during Covid-19 she has found other ways to connect with him by calling and writing letters. I could not have asked for a better companion caregiver. She also regularly updates me on his status and their visits. She even keeps a log of what they talked about and the state of his health and mood each time she visits. She's the best.
