About Shelby

I'd describe my personality as loyal, funny and considerate. I like working with kids because i've never lost my childlike enthusiasm! I'm looking for a job that gives me the opportunity to do what I love and what i'm good at as well as being given consistent hours. I am the oldest of 5 siblings and have been taking care of kids since I was 6 years old. Two of my brothers are autistic, one severely and one moderately. I have been responsible for all daily living tasks and am comfortable with traveling with families. I love to read, going to parks, cleaning, training sessions with my dog, etc. I enjoy quality time more than anything. I have a beautiful and healthy relationship with my parents and siblings. We're all very close so we do a lot of things together. One thing you should know about me is that I believe in girl power. I believe confidence is like lip gloss, you simply put it on! My skills include encouraging education, proper hygiene, and all levels of ADL.
