About Sheilah

Most of my experience working with children has been within the education field. I have worked as a Special Education Paraprofessional for children with developmental delays and/or learning disabilities. I have had two student teaching placements. The first was in a pull-out Second Grade English Language Arts classroom. The second was in a Kindergarten bilingual classroom, where I provided English instruction. I have also worked as a tutor specializing in K-12 English Language Arts and K-8 Basic Math. I have worked as a Teacher's Assistant for before and after-school programs. I helped with supervision, academic support, and implementing behavior management strategies. Most recently, I worked in a daycare setting for children ages 1-4. In addition to following curriculum guidelines, I have engaged with them in arts and crafts, outdoor activities, and music and movement. I was also responsible for diaper changes, feeding, meal preparation, sanitizing equipment, and clean-up. I have my Master of Education in Early Childhood Education. I am currently certified in Pediatric First Aid/CPR, Medication Administration and EpiPen.
