Choosing a care taker for your loved one is one of the most important decisions you can make, because at times, this person may be with your loved one more than you are. Unfortunately, I first went the agency route and realized those businesses do not prioritize your loved ones safety, care, or happiness. Finding Sheila on Care.com was a complete gift for me and my mother (whom had leukemia at the time). Because I lead a department for a fortune 100 company, I could not take care of my mother alone. I needed someone I trusted, but more importantly knew my mom would trust and enjoy spending time with while I continued to work. Sheila routinely went above and beyond what I initially hired her for, especially when my mother's illness progressed beyond our expectations. Sheila jumped in for food prep, grocery shopping, RX management, showers, driving to appointments - you name it. Most importantly, she made my mom feel safe and loved.
