I have a Bachelors Degree, I have a Vocational Apprenticeship Certificate (4 Years, Civil Service Government), CNA (will be renewing when COVID-19 slows down & classes are available more readily), & CPR. I started babysitting at the age of 13 which later developed into being a nanny, with over 31 years of experience. I love children and I'm interested in supplementing my income through childcare, nannying, assisting with schoolwork. I'm happy to meet with anyone. Willing to hectic schedules, days, and times. We hired Shawny (from our home in California) to care for our two very young grandchildren In Georgia while their mom was in the hospital. Shawny invested her own time building relationships with our daughter and the kids before the scheduled days to reassure our daughter and make sure the children would be comfortable with her. She stayed with the children for over two days and nights, then brought our daughter and new baby home from the hospital and stayed another night to help them settle in. Over the course of these weeks of planning and during the stay, Shawny stayed in touch with us, which was a huge blessing. She also helped them maneuver an important appointment the following day. It was wonderful to have the peace that came through her high standard of responsibility. This is the first time we have ever hired anyone through care.com. I would hope that all caregivers are as wonderful as Shawny is.
