About Shawntel

My name is Shawntel. I homeschool my 6-year-old daughter and have over 15 years of experience working with children. My childcare journey began volunteering with the Boys & Girls Club. After earning my Bachelor's degree in Psychology, I worked as a daycare teacher & nanny, supporting families with childcare, routines, learning activities, & household support. I also pursued graduate studies in Instruction & Curriculum with a focus on wellness. In addition, I own Birthing with Purpose, where I've spent nearly six years supporting families as a birth and postpartum doula, providing newborn care and sibling support. Families describe me as patient, dependable, & creative. I enjoy crafts, outdoor play, & educational activities that support children's development. I have reliable transportation, am comfortable with pets, and can assist with light housekeeping and meal prep. I'm seeking long-term childcare opportunities & can start immediately.
