About Shawn

I have been working with kids for 15+ years including teaching horseback riding ages 4-16, running summer programs, babysitting, Nannying, coaching rock climbing ages 5-11, teaching Girl Scout group programs, etc. I have been a part-time nanny in NJ, NYC, and upstate NY (in the Hudson Valley). I have traveled with some of the families that I have worked for and wouldn't mind doing that again if need be. I have excellent references and a clean driver's license. My car works great and I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule at this time. Some fun things about me... I love the outdoors and cooking with whole foods. I also love music and most athletic endeavors; that being said I am actually a yoga teacher too! I love to play games, run, swim, horseback ride, and rock climb as well. I aim to keep and gentle and understanding approach to childcare; making sure I do my best to calmly understand each child's individual needs.
