About Shawna

I have a master's degree in psychology and over 10 years of experience supporting individuals. I spent three years as an EA in an elementary SPED classroom supporting students with autism, developmental differences, and sensory processing disorders, and three years as a DSP. Over the past seven years I have worked locally as a mental health therapist for children, teens, and adults. I'm especially comfortable working with students who need extra patience, encouragement, structure, or individualized support. I can help with homework, studying, organization, reading and writing, and general academic support. I'm patient, dependable, and good at breaking difficult or overwhelming tasks into manageable steps. My goal is to help each student feel understood, build confidence and autonomy, and develop individualized skills.
