About Shawna

I love working with children because every child has a unique personality, and it's so rewarding to build meaningful relationships while supporting their development through play, creativity, and everyday routines. I have hands-on experience working as both an infant teacher and a preschool teacher, where I cared for children of different ages, planned engaging activities, encouraged developmental milestones, and created a nurturing, positive environment. In addition, I hold certifications in Early Childhood Education and Child Development. My education has given me a strong understanding of child development, health, safety, and age-appropriate care. I am also graduating with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing, which has further strengthened my knowledge of pediatric care, child development, safety, and responding calmly in emergency situations.
