About Shavanda

Empowering elementary students to reach their full potential is the core of my teaching practice. With four years of experience, I specialize in Math, English, History, and Study Skills, while providing dedicated support for Special Education needs. I believe every student possesses unique strengths, so I tailor my approach using visual aids, hands-on activities, and interactive discussions to match your child's individual learning style. By fostering open communication and celebrating small successes, I help students build the confidence necessary to master challenging concepts. I am deeply committed to creating a patient, engaging environment where curiosity thrives and academic goals become reality. Whether we meet at your home, the library, or a community center, my goal is to guide your student toward that rewarding "aha!" moment. I look forward to partnering with your family to help your student grow and succeed.
