About Shauna

Hello! My name is Shauna. I have a Bachelors of Science degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies with over 20 years of experience in the education field. I enjoy spending time at the beach, fitness and nutrition, watching baseball and soccer, going to the movies, cooking, reading and photography. As an educator, I enjoy helping students overcome challenges by building confidence to succeed. I have held positions in education as a Behavior Management Specialist, Exceptional Children's Teacher, Academic Interventionist, Recreation Coordinator and Private Tutor/Mentor. I thoroughly enjoy working with students of all ages. In my teaching position , it is important to recognize that students have individual, specific learning styles. Once those are identified, you can be successful in assisting them in achieving their personal goals. I am patient, organized, supportive and would also be available to help out with child transportation and household responsibilities.
