I am a k-12 school guidance counselor with an additional MA in Counseling/art therapy. I currently work at an elementary school in Kent. My references are excellent but from 2017 because my clientele was full by word of mouth and I no longer needed Care. com. I am only adding a few more families at this time. I prefer toddlers up to 12 and can do special needs. I am available for weekend and evenings. I get off work in Kent at 4:00 p.m. I bring games, and art supplies to engage children. I will clean, iron or fold laundry when kids are asleep. I also do cat sitting sitting within 20 min of Renton.

Shara has cared for our two girls, now 10 and 12, for 6 years, including during the harrowing COVID school-from-home ordeal, and the girls basically consider her family by now. She's always been punctual, reliable, and responsive in her communications, but what we appreciated most was her approach to managing the kids' most challenging behaviors, and her feedback on what we might try at home as well. On occasion, she has helped with meal preparation, but whether she did or not, the kitchen was always tidy by the time she left in the evening. Shara typically covered occasional evenings for us (picked up the kids from school, fed them and entertained them, and sometimes put them to bed depending on how late we came back home). We are grateful for Shara's help, and would warmly recommend her services.
