About Shannon

With 17 years of experience working with children, I bring warmth and reliability to every family I work with. Based in Chicago, I'm passionate about creating safe, nurturing environments where children thrive. My journey began at 14 as a YMCA summer camp counselor managing up to 60 kids ages 5-12, planning schedules, crafts, field trips, and meals. From there I moved into before and after school childcare, adding homework support to my routine. I then served as a lead daycare provider at Vineyard Church of the Rockies, caring for infants through school-aged children, handling everything from bottles and diapers to snacks and activities. Most recently I've taken on long-term nanny roles with two families, one in LA, one here in Chicago, both starting when the children were just 4 months old and continuing through toddlerhood. I still care for my Chicago family on date nights today. CPR and First Aid certified. I'd love to connect and learn about your families needs.
