About Jalissa

My childcare journey began in high school when I studied Early Childhood Education and had the opportunity to serve as an assistant teacher in classroom settings during my senior year. After graduating, I worked in a daycare, where I gained my first professional childcare experience. I later joined Child Care Careers as a substitute teacher, which allowed me to work in a variety of daycare centers throughout the Chicago area. Currently, I work in a daycare specializing in the infant room, but I have experience caring for children from infancy through age 5. In addition childcare has always been a big part of my life. As the oldest of three siblings and one of the oldest cousins in a family of about 14 children, I have naturally taken on caregiving and leadership roles from a young age. I am now excited to transition into one-on-one nanny care, where I can provide more personalized attention and build meaningful relationships with both children and their families.
