About Shannon

I love working with kids! I have paid experience working at Sports Camp for 3 summers with girls ages 4-14. In college, I studied Communication & Educational Psychology with the intention of pursuing my masters degree in School Counseling, however I graduated in 2020, so Covid ended up changing my plans! While I did not end up pursuing the MSEd, my affinity and compassion for kids/students remains the same. :) After completing undergrad, I went on to work in Hofstra's undergraduate admission office and had the best, most rewarding experience working with high school aged students & guiding them through the college admission process. In addition to all of these things, I'm also the oldest of 4! My role of oldest sister is the most important piece of who I am and a lifelong experience that I cherish. Because of my role as the oldest, I'm also no stranger to the responsibilities of childcare! *I work full time M-F and am only available after 5 p.m. week days
