I come from a very large family which entails over a dozen nieces and nephews. I truly do have a love for children, and I can say I have amazing patience. I am a graduate of Clayton State University, with a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education and History w/ a minor in Sociology. I have experience in working with kids with both Dyslexia and Down Syndrome. I am more than capable to organize, arts and crafts, story times, help with homework/projects, feedings/food prep, changing diapers, and anything else that might be required to help facilitate the best environment for your children. I do have my own transportation. If needed, I have a resume and personal recommendations if requested. I have worked with children of all ages and understand that each child has their own specific needs and I am more than willing to fulfill what may be required.

Shanna has been our children's nanny for two years, and we are so grateful to have her as the Mary Poppins in our life. Most importantly, she is fantastic with the kids - loving but also firm when necessary (they behave way better for her than for me), incredibly creative with arts/crafts/enrichment projects, ensures that homework is done and complete, and full of energy. On summer/vacation days, she always has a plan for what they will do, whether it is trips to the park, splash pad, library, museum, etc. In addition to all this, she also keeps our home incredibly neat and has taught my kids how to make their bed, put away their toys and laundry, etc. She even preps dinner for us as needed. Any family would be very lucky to have her!

We interviewed Shanna for a childcare position that would involve transportation. We told her we could give her our schedule a month in advance, she said that wasn't necessary because she was pretty flexible and that she only cared for a family in the evenings. We called her references and decided to hire her. On the day of our face to face meeting, she emailed me at 4am saying there was an emergency. She later texted me and said the same thing, that she couldn't make it. She texted me a couple days later and declined the position. She never called and based on reviews she had done this before

Shanna is AMAZING and our little boy LOVES her!!! Shanna is always on time, if not early. Always patient and I've never felt more comfortable with someone watching my kiddo!! Shanna sends us updates and pictures during the times she's watching T. And it makes me so happy to have Shanna on our Team!!! 

I spoke with Shanna over the phone about a month ago and was very interested in her as a Nanny. We had a great conversation and agreed to speak later & discuss next steps. When I called her several times she didn't answer. I thought she was a great fit. Unfortunately she never responded to my text message or calls.  She will probably say she called me back as she mentioned in reviews above, but not so! I was very disappointed.

Hi, I have nothing but wonderful things to share about Shanna. She was always on time at least 15 mins prior to her start time of 8:30.  She was also willing to make adjustments as needed to accommodate scheduling shifts with our work schedule.  She was very comfortable caring for our infant son and always kept him engaged, challenged and working towards developmental milestones.  She was familiar with working with breastfed babies, and rotating my supply etc.  I made all of his food, and there was not any issue with feeding.  We like most parents think our son is a genius, and she always kept us informed of his progress. She also kept a detailed schedule of his feedings and activities.  We only asked her to clean his bottles and dishes, and keep up with his laundry; no other overall household duties.  If we had another child, I would not hesitate to hire her again.  

Shanna has been with our family for about 9 months, and she is awesome.  Organized, thorough, punctual, great with the kids, and handles stress well are just a few ways to describe her. As a mother who works a full time job, and juggling a 10y/o boy and a 15 month old, Shanna has stepped in and taken care of household chores that I would've fallen behind on, made doctors appointments, practices etc. She has to the best of her abilities kept our 10y/o on point with his studies, etc. Our 15 month old who has never been in daycare is thriving at the hands of her, and if we could we would keep her with us forever and we are trying in some way shape or form ;) . Any family that hired Shanna as their child care provider would be lucky, and need not to worry that their children are in great hands.     

Shanna cared for my son while I was on military duty. She was available on short notice, and was very prepared and professional. My son was just a little over a year old, so I was still in new mom mode. I was a stay at home mom other than my reserve duty so I never knew what to ask potential caregivers or what specifics to give them. I didn't have many questions or requirements for Shanna but she had questions for me! I was absolutely sold when she presented me with her questions. Her experience with children was highly evident and she definitely will make your child the priority. She isn't just a sitter making extra cash from this site. She is educated, experienced, professional, punctual, thorough, kind, attentive and will care for your child according to your preferences and direction.

My husband and I hired Shanna to babysit our then 8 month old daughter 4 months ago. From the moment of her interview it was immediately apparent that Shanna would be a perfect fit for our family. Our daughter connected with her instantly and we never had any worries or doubts about living our daughter in Shanna's care. Shanna gives us regular updates throughout the day of how the day is going accompanied with various pictures of the things they are doing. 

Within four short months Shanna has managed to teach our now 1 year old how to recognize and say her colors. Shanna always has a lesson plan for each day she sees our daughter, they have daily story time, music time and dance time! It's amazing the things she's learned in such a short time. And our daughter has so much fun learning and playing. We've been truly blessed to have Shanna in our child's life. Shanna has been with her during many milestones: crawling, walking, teething, first words and now potty training. 

We had hoped to work with Shanna for as long as possible. However, my working situation has changed and now we're dreading having to send our daughter to daycare. It breaks my heart to face the fact that our daughter won't receive the same level of attention, love and care. She'll be losing her first best friend. Shanna has a natural affinity for caring for and educating children. Whoever hires Shanna will get the best caregiver you could ever dream of! Apologies for my very late review. Shanna kept my son back in March of 2014. She was amazing! I am a first time mom and initially was never too sure what questions to ask sitters. Shanna had her own questions for me as well as requested some information of me. She really made me feel like making sure my son was properly cared for was her top priority. I definitely recommend her and Shanna, if you're reading this, I'd love to work with you again very soon!

Never met her in person. Seemed nice on the phone. Did set up an interview day and received message from her the night before that she injured her wrist and could not come to interview. I said I was sorry and  hope that she feels better soon and ask her to let me know when she can drive again :) I am waiting to hear from her :)

First things first Shanna is a remarkable young woman. I am a single mom of 3 extremely active little boys ages from 2-11 and a full-time nurse which leaves me with a crazy schedule. Shanna has worked with my family for the past 2 1/2 months, and I cannot express enough how valuable she is to our family. She goes above and beyond with running errands, picking up/dropping the boys off at school and now camp. She helps them with their homework and even cooks on the nights I have to pull a 12 hour shift. The boys love her, she takes them swimming, to the movies, parks and museums. I can always count on her to answer her phone when I need her on those days I'm on-call. I would most definitely recommend this young lady to anyone's family because she is truly one of the best nannies I have ever had.

I have used Shanna on 2 separate occasions at very short notice when my back was against the wall. It was such short notice that I was only able to give her a brief background about my children. I have 5 children from ages 8 to 21 months and the care Shanna provided at such short notice was absolutely amazing.  She has a natural ability with kids. She is professional, and pays wonderful attention to kids. To say she is great is an understatement! I would recommend Shanna as a nanny because I truly believe she can provide all sitting needs requested from any family.

Unfortunately the young lady did not show up as agreed for our initial assignment as a babysitter. I was also considering her for a part-time nanny position. I am preparing for an event this weekend and really needed someone to be punctual and dependable. I called and left a message. No response. I hope everything is okay.

Shanna was a babysitter with our family for sometime and with that she also was like my personal assistant.  She helped organize my family because with as many children as I have chaos is an everyday thing.  So with her pulling double duty of watching the kids and keeping them entertained as well as keeping the house spotless with wiping down tables and counters to sweeping, moping, washing dishes, laundry (She's Amazing), and getting stains out of clothes that I would have thrown away!  She was an amazing babysitter and housekeeper.  I would definitely recommend her for both big and small families because she gets the job done.

After a great phone interview, Shanna agreed to an in-person interview with my husband and I at a public location. After waiting 15 minutes for her to arrive, I called her. She did not answer so I left her a message. We waited another 5 minutes, then we left. I have yet to hear from her.

Shanna was great! Would definitely recommend her. She is very gracious and patient. She was awesome with our baby boy. She did an excellent job with minimal instruction.

Shanna had been providing me with her childcare services for 3 years. She was simply amazing! I am a single mom with two beautiful children (1 boy and 1 girl) and Shanna always went the extra mile to help my two kids with homework and projects. She was an excellent tutor for my daughter in helping her with her reading. She hosted mini plays, arts & craft projects, story times, and helped with any other activities I might have needed a second hand for. Within those 3 years, Shanna became a part of our family and when we had to move, I truly wish we could have taken her with us.
