About Shain

My name is Shain! I am 20 years old and I started babysitting relatives and family friends when I was 12 years old. In high school I interned at an infant center daycare for 2 years, then continued to work at the daycare after I graduated. I got my CDA certification after high school. I have about 7 years of paid babysitting experience and 3 years of daycare experience, with primarily infants. Some of my favorite activities to do with kids is singing, playing with toys, and doing crafts. I prefer to keep children engaged without the use of technology while I am watching them. Although I do play music for them. usually Disney or toddler songs. My skills include very high patience, attentiveness, and a good understanding of how a child's brain develops and how to best facilitate that development. I am not currently CPR certified but have been in the past, I am willing to renew my certification, once I can afford it.
