About Shailyn

Hi! My name is Shailyn. I'm 27 years old and was born and raised in Nashville, TN. I graduated from Tennessee State University with a bachelor's degree in Family and Consumer Sciences and a minor in Child Development. I'm currently attending Grand Canyon University, where I'm earning my master's degree in Elementary Education. I currently teach third-grade math and science and have several years of experience working with children of different ages. Before becoming an elementary teacher, I worked at The Gardner School in Midtown Nashville, primarily with toddlers. I also babysit regularly for families outside of teaching. I'm caring, patient, dependable, and experienced with both younger and school-aged children. I enjoy games, reading, learning activities, and helping with homework. I understand how important it is to have someone you trust caring for your children, and I would love the opportunity to become a dependable sitter for your family!
