Starting in 1999 I worked as aide in a special education class. For this volunteering job concluded with the extreme honor of assisting two students through graduation with myself. Next in 2004 I assisted a young 4th grader who had been passed from 1st to 4th grade without knowing any math. He was legally blind and had family issues so my assistance also focused on life skills. By the end of 4th grade he was all caught up in the school system. In 2008 I worked as an aide in a 2nd grade class. The teacher had many children requiring extra attention and was in need of desperate help with the class. One boy in particular I provided life lessons on how to act in the world. Now in 2013 I looking for another similar job. I currently do occasional babysitting for my 1-year-old nephew who is the joy and pride of my life.
