About Savannah

Throughout my education, I was often the subject of an" in order to know something, you have to be able to teach it" mentality. I started peer tutoring in high school in my role as president of the National English Honor Society. A decade later and I've tutored college peers down to the 2nd graders, with K-9 teaching experience in Japan and college TA experience in the U. S. I believe education is one of the most powerful things we can possess, and I love being able to help students access it according to their needs. I've seen the many levels of needs and interest that define a student's ability to succeed and their educational path. Education is attainable for everyone, and tutoring can help bridge that gap between classroom-style education and where the student needs to be. Any chance to participate in that journey is an immense privilege. My skills include meeting the student's needs, balanced sessions, and flexibility with changing expectations in the student's education.
