About Sarena

Hi, I'm Sarena! I'm 23 and majored in sociology, with a thesis on supportive parent networks. Since then I've worked as a nanny/1:1 aid for an 8 y/o + an autistic 6 y/o with Down Syndrome. I help with driving + tutoring for the older kiddo, and go to preschool + help with afterschool care for the younger, neuro divergent kiddo. At preschool I assist ~20 kids with communication, development+ education+ daily living skills, meal time, creative/tactile play, conflict resolution, outside/nature exploration, and much more. I've worked with children 2-20 y/o, and am currently working with ages 2+. I love working with kids and see it as an opportunity for growth and connection all around. I believe kids know themselves best and need a strong, curious, gentle, and grounded adult to help them navigate learning about themselves and the world around them. I'm looking for something 6-20 hrs Sat/Tues/Thurs/ or Sun! I look forward to hearing from you if this sounds like a potential great fit!
