About Sara

With 13 years of teaching experience, I offer specialized support for the whole student. I currently serve as a Special Education teacher, bringing a patient, adaptive approach to neurodivergent learners. I am trained in the Orton-Gillingham Sonday System for reading intervention, but my support extends beyond academics. I specialize in building executive functioning skills, helping students master organization, time management, and task initiation. Additionally, I incorporate social skills coaching to help students navigate peer interactions and emotional regulation. Core Competencies: Specialized Literacy: Sonday System (OG) decoding and fluency. Core Academics: Focused support in Math, Reading and Writing. Executive Function: Building systems for focus and follow-through. Social/Emotional: Coaching for neurodivergent social success.
