I have been a caregiver for over 10 years. Traditionally I have worked with children but I have worked with adults as well when I was in college. I interned with a local dementia clinic that provided daily care. I'm currently exploring options for going back to school and Gerontology and Aging Services is an area I feel very drawn to. I believe it's important to show respect and allow dignity throughout a person's entire life. I believe I have what it takes to adapt my previous skills as a caregiver to a future in geriatric care.
