About Sara

Hi there, My name is Sara and I am 24 years old, I have been caring for children and supporting families for over 10 years. I have experience caring for children ages infant to 18 years. I have worked at 3 different summer camps, and was a mentor at Earthwalk Vermont Village School. In the past I have been a life guard and trained as a Wilderness EMT. I have experience with mediation and conflict resolution. I find that when children are around there is a different feeling in the air, one of life being more alive. I believe they bring great medicine to the world in this way. I feel it is so important to acknowledge children in their wisdom and to deeply encourage their creativity, curiosity and excitements for life. As a babysitter/nanny I enjoy providing games and activities which nurture this aspects in children. I have prolific experience in conflict resolution and mediation, therefore creating peace and understanding amongst children is very important to me. ( in terms of siblings). I see that children are our future and therefore investing in their development is incredible important. It is very important to me to create a loving, peaceful, creative and supportive environment for children to grow and develop in. I also am very passionate about nutrition and take great joy in preparing loving, healthy, and fresh meals, I believe it is a crucial part of a caregivers job. Many times I have worked with kids I feel they are teaching me and I have something to learn from them, and at the same time they are in a very sensitive and malleable stage of their lives, which is why I feel so inspired to work with them. To provide a safe, encouraging, supportive, creative and healing atmosphere for them to grow in.
