About Sara

I am a Kalamazoo College graduate (2019) with a BA in Psychology and a passion for early literacy, mental health, the arts, caregiving, and education. As an undergraduate student, I worked for 4 years as a teacher aide, tutor, mentor, playground supervisor, and volunteer coordinator at The Woodward School for Technology and Research in Kalamazoo, MI. Upon graduating, I continued working full time at The Woodward School as a teacher in their PEEP preschool program (GSRP, ages 3-5). Throughout the pandemic, I supported my teaching team in the transition to online learning and worked as a nanny for a lovely family with two children, ages 2 and 6. My philosophy on caregiving is to approach every child with gentleness, patience, empathy, and joy, while working closely with families to ensure that expectations for their child's growth and development are being met. I'm an animal lover of all kinds and happy to assist with any housekeeping or errand-running needs that your family may have.
