About Sarah

I'd describe my personality as caring, empathic, and fun. I like caring for seniors because I began working in a nursing home at the age of 20 and fell in love with the elderly quite instantly. I loved hearing their stories and learning about their past. I'm looking for a job that I'm able to help someone in need in the privacy of their own home where they are most comfortable. I started caring for seniors in 2000 as a CNA. I have now been a Registered Nurse for 19 years. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my two dogs, listen to live music, and dance. I cared for my elderly grandfather the last 3 years of his life. He died in my home on hospice with me as his primary caregiver. I excel at: 1. Bath/shower time. I've taken seniors who hated bathing and turned it into something fun with music and singing/dancing. 2. Transferring with assisted devices. 3. Airway management with articifical airways ( cleaning/suctioning/etc)
