I was a live in caregiver for my grandparents who each had dementia and spent a year assisting my SIL who was wheelchair bound with vascular dementia after she suffered a massive stroke. People often notice my bubbly personality and the fact that I always find humor in life. I like caring for seniors because they have so much history to teach us. They are a fascinating glimpse into the past and have stories that need to be told. I'm looking for a job that makes me feel useful. After losing my husband 4 years ago to a massive stroke at age 48, I've struggled with finding my place in life again. In my spare time, I like to dabble in photography. One thing you should know about me is that I search for peace and look for the beauty in life, because it is all around us each and every day. My skills include a solid knowledge on how to care for seniors who are dealing with dementia, compassion, and dependable daily support.
