I have varied experience working with children and adults with different physical and developmental disabilities. As a former teacher, I have had students with Downs Syndrome, ADHD, Autism, and dyslexia in my classes. I love working with children who are neurodivergent because they are often the most creative, intelligent, and inspiring people in the classroom! I have also worked one-on-one with an adult with cerebral palsy. This client was a joy to work with, and our days consisted of me taking her to her different adaptive activities in the community. I am hoping to go into social work and work more long-term with children and adults with different disabilities-- I believe that our society should be a place where every one of all abilities is met with the same kindness and respect!
