About Sarah

Hi there! I am currently an Art teacher and a 1 on 1 Ed tech. Despite enjoying coastal Maine and my current position, I will be finishing my contract and moving to the D. C. area in late June. I am an experienced elementary teacher. Highly skilled at motivating children through positive encouragement. I am also an experienced nanny who has worked with children from ages 0-14. I am passionate about helping guide children through life to become kind, compassionate and independent individuals. Fostering the appropriate developmental needs of the child at hand. Children pick up on everything, our outlook directly affects how kids respond to the universe. Having a positive attitude even when things may awry helps the children regulate and feel stable. Working with children has shown me that children need time and space to truly communicate their needs, which requires time and patience. I truly believe that every behavior is a form of communication.
