I am a former elementary school teacher who is now homeschooling her own kids. I love working one on one with children and making learning engaging and fun! I have 15+ years of experience working with children through different avenues such as being a nanny, camp counselor, teacher, private tutor, and now mother of 3. I have my bachelors in English and my masters in education and can tutor all elementary subjects or English up through middle school. I am Orton Gillingham certified and utilize their methods for teaching reading, which is especially beneficial to children with dyslexia or those who struggle with reading.

Sara is a hardworking, young and energetic teacher. Sara teaches 5th grade through out the school year and does tutoring in the summer and during evenings and weekends. She is fun and patient with my Kindergartner, pre-schooler and 2nd grader. In just a few short weeks she brought my older child up to where he needed to be for his reading and math. My Kindergartner started to read and my preschooler was playing games and calling out letters and numbers. She takes a situation where you child may be struggling and turns it into a fun and interactive learning experience. Giving my children a head start like this gave them the confidence they needed to excel in school. She is a sweet lady and a patient and proficient teacher. I highly recommend Sara for your long summers at home, to help keep your kids up with they reading, writing and math by making learning fun.
