About Andrea

My name is Andrea and I have been working with children professionally for 33 years. I am a parent myself so I'm familiar with every aspect of child development and care from newborns to teens. My daughter, is now 13. She sometimes comes babysitting alongside me (no extra charge). I have both an undergraduate and a graduate degree in education. I am a licensed teacher and a literacy specialist. I work P/T tutoring K-5 students and babysit 'on the side' to supplement my tutoring income. We have been living in Hendersonville, NC for 4 years. In that time I have provided babysitting and tutoring for countless local families as well as the occasional visiting family. I keep my CPR and First Aid training up to date. I can provide those certifications upon request as well as my resume, background search, and references. Please reach out to inquire about availability. My rate generally falls between $20- $25/hour for most families and circumstances.
