About Samuel

Sam was my daughter’s tutor for more than 10 years. When she started with him she was a shy, withdrawn 8 year old who lacked confidence. She was labeled by her school as a “slow processing” student. Over time, Sam coached her in various subjects such as math and science as she moved from grade to grade. He even worked with her during the summers to ensure that she didn’t lose the knowledge that she had gained during the school year. Additionally, he would give her a preview of the subject matter that would be presented during the next school year so that she could get a head start. Sam’s patience and willingness to go the extra mile for my daughter was amazing. His desire to see her succeed never wavered even when my daughter felt like giving up. He pushed her to success! He became part of her village and was an integral part of her achievements. He literally unlocked her brilliance. She went from a struggling student to winning two Virginia science fairs, being inducted into Honor Society, the Beta Club, and graduating with highest honors from high school. Now, she’s in her senior year in college studying environmental science. He played a HUGE role her achievements ad character development! He would be an asset in any child’s academic arsenal!
