About Sam

Hi! My name is Sam, and I'm an experienced private tutor with over 5 years of in-person and online tutoring experience. I hold a B. S. in Physics from Caltech (GPA: 3. 9) and have worked with students across a wide range of ages and skill levels. I tutor Physics (AP Physics 1/2/C and standard high school physics), Calculus (AP AB/BC and standard), Pre-Calculus, Algebra, Geometry, Chemistry (AP & standard), and SAT prep. In addition to private tutoring, I have one year of experience working in Los Angeles schools, providing in-class supplemental math support for students from grades 3 through 12. My teaching style focuses on building strong intuition, confidence, and problem-solving skills through a personalized approach tailored to each student's goals and learning style. I aim to make challenging material approachable while helping students develop long-term academic skills.
