About Samantha

Hello! My name is Samantha . I am going into my senior year at American University in Washington, DC. At AU, I am studying Criminal Law and Psychology. I am working towards a career of helping children in the criminal justice system. Currently, I hold an intern position at CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) for Children of DC. My role is to create initiatives and events to empower youth who are survivors of abuse/neglect/trauma. I have over six years of experience with children. I had my first babysitting job as a freshman in high school, and have been working with kids continuously since. During high school, I worked at a children's art/gymnastics after school center. Additionally, I had the opportunity to teach children martial arts (in the form of self defense) on a weekly basis at the dojo I have trained at since I was 4 years old. I am passionate about children, and I truly enjoy spending my time with them.
