About Martha

I'm a full time high school history teacher with a Master's Degree in Education and lots of experience with children in and out of the classroom. I am always interested in ways to stay connected to kids after work and during my breaks. While my current work is with high-schoolers, I have had plenty of experiences with children of all ages, including infants. I started my career in education working as an assistant teacher at Sarah Lawrence's Early Childhood Center in Bronxville, NY while I completed my undergraduate degree (BA in Liberal Arts with concentration on Child Psychology). I have also led groups of elementary school students as a camp counselor, after-school activity leader and tutor. I have also been baby-sitting since my early adolescence and have worked regularly for many families throughout the years. While baby-sitting, I have cared for infants and the very young and often maintained connections with families as the children have grown up. My preschool and elementary age experience means that I have a lot of exciting, innovative and educational tricks up my sleeve to keep the children in my care happy, healthy and entertained. I'm creative, responsible and genuinely interested in spending time with children and babies.
