I grew up loving education and the social sciences whereas my younger brother was extremely bright and capable, but did not receive good grades because he loved adventure and loathed sitting behind a desk all day. I completely understand how kids need to be engaged, and that experience shaped how I approach teaching. For a long time, I thought I wasn't a math person myself until a teacher took the time to explain the why behind the numbers. Today, I work extensively with math and science in my professional career and consistently excel in those areas. I am a certified instructor through the Department of Defense, regularly teach and mentor others in my field, hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication, and a Master's Degree in intelligence analysis. My tutoring style is patient, encouraging, and tailored to each student's learning style, helping them build understanding, confidence, and independence.
