About Katie

I am currently a K-2 teacher for a private Christian school, and I believe teaching is one of my strengths. I love finding ways to teach different subjects in a variety of ways so that it will make sense to the student. I'm creative in finding the learning style that best fits with the student, even if that means looking outside paper and pencil work. I worked at Greenville College as a Music Theory Tutor during my sophomore year and did volunteer work when I was in high school tutoring at elementary schools. My favorite subjects to teach are math and reading. Improvement in these areas are foundational to excellence in a variety of areas of life, and I love seeing the confidence it brings.
