About Sabrina

Although I do not yet have paid experience in senior care, I have developed a strong passion for working with older adults through my academic and personal experiences. During my undergraduate psychology studies, I completed an internship at a skilled nursing facility in the recreation department. I loved facilitating activities like bingo, which brought residents joy and excitement, and spending one-on-one time engaging in conversations and card games. I also walked around visiting residents, listening to their stories, and making them feel valued and heard. Simple acts like bringing coffee or tea and sitting with them during meals created meaningful connections. In addition, I frequently visit family members in nursing homes and enjoy interacting with other residents as well. These experiences have strengthened my empathy, patience, and communication skills, and confirmed my passion for providing companionship and care to seniors.
