About Ryan

Hi, I'm Ryan -- a stay-at-home dad on my days off, looking to open up our home to a couple more little ones. My wife and I have 2-year-old twins, so your child won't just be in care, they'll have built in playmates and a real family environment. I work two 24-hour shifts a week as a firefighter, so I'm home and fully present the other days with the space, energy, and patience to take on children of any age. Being a firefighter means I take safety seriously, stay calm under pressure, and am trained in first aid and CPR. But day-to-day, what you'd see is a hands-on dad who gets down on the floor, goes outside, reads books, and keeps things fun and low-drama. Based in Buffalo, NY. Available 6 AM-6 p.m. on my non-shift days. Rate is $25/hour. I'm looking for a consistent arrangement with families who want their kids in a warm, home-based setting rather than a traditional daycare. Small group, lots of attention, real routines.
