Experience: 10 yrs
I have been taking care of children since 2000. I started in an after-school program as a lead teacher. I soon found what I loved the most as a private nanny. I have worked with newborns all the way up to pre-teens. My first infant was a preemie, and he was still hooked up to a machine when I started caring for him. I also worked for a family that shortly after I started had to leave the country for almost a month. They went to adopt their son. They left the daughter in my care during the day and the grandparents at night. Now I have a son who is 6 yrs. old. I love being on the floor and playing. Books are big for me with children. Kids have so much to say when they are looking at a book. I love to be outside either blowing bubbles or throwing a ball around or just taking a walk around the block. I love doing that with my son! My husband and I have season tickets to the Sabre's, so I enjoy hockey and football. Growing up bowling was huge in my family, so I am a bowler. I also helped raise my nephew who was born when I was 16. His mom wasn't around so I took a little of that role. Thank you for taking the time to read my bio.
Carol is a great sitter. I am very comfortable leaving my child in her care. She is even tempered, believes in rewards and time-outs and is excellent at setting expectations and boundaries. I would call her a "master" sitter. It's obvious her skill set is far greater than what might be required, but my husband and I both respect how she works with our son and how good his behavior is upon our return. I can not say enough good things. She is always timely, responsive and as flexible as she can be. We are so happy that she is someone we can turn to.
